Frasier and Martin decide to pay for Daphne’s wedding flowers, but thanks to some spicy jerky beef, Frasier only manages to say wedding . Daphne is overjoyed as her mother can’t interfere any more, but Frasier is less than enamoured at some of Daphne’s choices so decides to give her the gift of Frasier.
Frasier falls victim to KACL’s new morning crew - Carlos and the Chicken, through a series of on-air pranks, and decides to fight back with the only way he knows how - a bitingly witty speech.
Niles gets a job as the arts critic for The Monocle , leaving Frasier a bit jealous. He decides to make friends with the station owner’s daughter, Poppy, to try and get his own arts show on KACL. Poppy, though, has her own ideas.
Frasier discovers Bulldog delivering pizzas, and after seeing how good he is with Roz’s daughter Alice, recommends him to Roz as her new babysitter. However, Bulldog manages to get every date Roz has to cancel so he can get back with her.
Confusion reigns when Niles believes Frasier’s loathing of Poppy is hiding an attraction towards her and his relationship with Regan is a sham, while Frasier believes Niles is after Regan and his relationship with Poppy is a charade.
Frasier and Niles are thrilled when they discover that an antique handed down through generations of the Crane family used to belong to the Russian royalty.
A mix-up leads to Frasier’s death being announced on TV, but this leads to Frasier re-examining how much he has achieved in his life. In the meantime, Niles meets Mel…
Frederick tries to bring Frasier and Lilith closer together, but does he have an ulterior motive for this?
Frasier’s back gives out on his birthday prompting Roz to suggest he speak aloud some of his problems. Frasier does so but Daphne overhears Frasier say he loves Daphne (he meant as a friend). A shocked Daphne tries to cope with this until Frasier puts her straight, but a massage with Frasier high on his painkillers means he reveals more than he should about Niles feelings for Daphne!
